APO Summer School 2021
After a coronavirus pause, we had a chance to meet again at the sixth annual patient conference APO Summer School in person. This year`s topic was „Partnership – More than Grant “. Four chosen Czech projects of strategic cooperation between patient organizations and pharmaceutical companies and other stakeholders were presented.
We also had a chance to hear three presentations about strategic cooperation from abroad. One of them was given by a colleague from the EFPIA who introduced their project Connecting Healthcare Award.
We welcomed representatives of important institutions of the healthcare system of the Czech Republic, who gave speeches focused on their cooperation with patient organizations:
- Minister of Health CR, Mr. Adam Vojtěch,
- Director of VZP (state and biggest Czech health insurance company), Mr. Zdeněk Kabátek,
- Chairperson of the Czech Medical Society, prof. Mr. Štěpán Svačina,
- Director of the State Institute for Drug Control, Mrs. Irena Storová,
- Member of the European Parliament, Mrs. Kateřina Konečná,
- Chairperson of the AIFP Ethics Committee, Mr. Patrik Kastner.
The greatest thanks belong to the representatives of Czech patient organizations who actively participated in person. Thank YOU!
