EUPATI Educational Programme
The basic EUPATI Training covers the journey of medicinal products from their history and development, through clinical studies to their launch.
It explains the approval process, the role of regulatory authorities and HTA (Health Technology Assessment) - the systematic evaluation of health technologies.
What is EUPATI?
The European Patients’ Academy on Therapeutic Innovation (EUPATI) is a multi-stakeholder public-private partnership.
It is a successful European programme that provides education and training to increase the capacity and capability of patients and patient representatives to understand and meaningfully contribute to medicines research and development (R&D), and to improve the availability of medical information for patients and other stakeholders.
EUPATI education is built on three pillars, the synergy of which provides the most effective education for patients across Europe. The three pillars represent the involvement of:
- Patients
- Academic sphere
- Pharmaceutical industry
We also collaborate with representatives of the State Institute for Drug Control on the EUPATI educational programme in the Czech Republic.
